JOSHUA JAIPAUL
Leadership isn’t something you perform.
I’ve spent my career inside businesses, alongside leaders and in rooms where difficult decisions actually have to be made.
Across corporate leadership, entrepreneurship, advisory work and community building, I’ve had the opportunity to see organizations from very different seats.
What I’ve learned is simple:
Authority can be given. Leadership must be cultivated.

EXPERIENCE
I’ve spent my career learning how people, decisions and businesses actually work.
My background crosses financial services, business leadership, entrepreneurship, consulting, communication and community building.
I spent more than a decade in financial services working with organizations ranging from small businesses to companies with more than 20,000 employees, advising on retirement, investment and insurance strategies and overseeing relationships representing more than $500 million CAD in assets.
I’ve built businesses, advised founders, led teams, facilitated difficult conversations, developed partnerships, worked across operations and strategy, and helped organizations navigate periods of growth and change.
I’m also a three-time published author, podcast host and facilitator — experiences that have reinforced something I believe deeply: the quality of our outcomes is often determined by the quality of the questions we are willing to ask.
THE APPROACH
Start with the intention. Then look at what’s actually happening.
I don’t believe leadership begins with having all the answers.
It begins with being willing to look clearly at what is happening, gather the right information and ask better questions.
- What are we trying to create?
- What are our current actions actually producing?
- Where is the gap?
- And what needs to change?
I care about clarity, competence, consistency, direct communication and execution. I believe difficult conversations should happen before difficult consequences become necessary. I believe leadership begins with self. And I believe the people closest to a problem often understand something leadership needs to hear.
Different results often require different questions.
Let’s try different.
WORKING TOGETHER
I’m not interested in standing outside the business and pointing at it.
Sometimes the work requires perspective.
Sometimes it requires strategy.
Sometimes it requires someone willing to enter the business, understand the people and systems, make decisions and help execute what comes next.
That is why my work can range from strategic advisory and leadership development to fractional CEO/COO leadership, facilitated experiences and long-term business partnerships.
The form of the engagement depends on the problem we are trying to solve and the outcome we intend to create.
Let’s try different.
If something important is being built, changed or figured out, let’s start with a conversation.
